Cremorne snapshot

Cremorne and its peninsula Cremorne Point offer the ideal balance of suburban peace and urban vibrancy, with a thriving local village and the cosmopolitan attractions of Neutral Bay and Mosman on either side.

Retail and culture

With beautiful parks, tree-lined streets and idyllic frontage along both Sydney Harbour and Middle Harbour, Cremorne is home to a bustling dining scene and the iconic restored Art Deco cinema, the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace. These social spots bring character to the area and create a welcoming ambience. The main commercial area runs along Military Road where you’ll find supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and specialty retail stores, including the Cremorne Village Shopping Centre.

History and architecture

Predominantly residential, Cremorne was named after Cremorne Gardens in England. It features a wide diversity of architectural styles with both Federation and California bungalows represented, along with apartment buildings and townhouses from a variety of eras.

Transport

Affording quick and easy access to the CBD, Cremorne is well serviced by both bus and ferry, with two wharves on Cremorne Point.
